PRECISION THERMAL TEMPERATURE SCREENING SOLUTIONS

As social distancing measures relax, people need to be assured that something is being done to protect their safety and provide a level of comfort in these unprecedented times. The Jogan Thermal Checkpoint is an enterprise level fever scanning system based on thermal imaging that accurately detects elevated body temperature (EBT).

Industry-Leading Thermal Screening System Coming to Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS-- A demo unit of the Jogan Thermal Checkpoint is being installed inside CoOperate, a state-of-the-art shared office space located inside UNLV’s Black Fire Innovation. Black Fire innovation is a 43,000 square foot facility that includes replicated elements of a resort-casino to provide real-life conditions for innovative product testing. Black Fire Innovation serves as an incubator to research and test the products of the future, and to advance current trends that will propel Las Vegas businesses forward. While businesses seek to safely reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic, one major technological need is access to efficient thermal screening systems.

More and more businesses are taking responsible precautions to protect staff and customers from exposure to the virus. Now, Las Vegas businesses can access a more advanced method for detecting fever, a core symptom of COVID-19.

The Jogan Thermal Checkpoint is a fever scanning system that uses patent-pending temperature stabilized thermal imaging to accurately detect elevated body temperature (EBT).

The design and technology behind Jogan Thermal Checkpoint address the inaccuracies and false results produced by other commonly-used scanning methods. False results arise when someone has an elevated skin temperature (EST) but is not actually infected– such as a customer who just took a walk during a hot summer afternoon. Conversely, in cooler weather, handheld temperature guns and skin temperature averaging thermal systems will not detect a single person with a fever due to cold faces. In other words, facial skin temperature can vary vastly from one’s internal temperature.

Jogan’s team of thermal system industry experts have already accomplished a turn-key solution for greater accuracy. You can schedule an appointment to see it in action at CoOperate at Black Fire (all visitors must wear face masks).

The Jogan Thermal Checkpoint currently uses the FDA-backed global standard of measuring body temperature from the tear ducts. The system also already meets and exceeds FDA Thermographic System recommendations.

The Jogan Thermal Checkpoint features a 4K digital camera, produces full-color imagery, and can even trigger an alert when a person within its field of view exceeds a specified temperature.

Additional features extend beyond fever detection to offer proactive solutions for limiting both symptomatic and asymptomatic spread of the coronavirus, such as:

  • Detecting whether people are wearing a mask
  • Real-Time Data
  • Geospatial mapping of people with elevated temperatures
  • Validation of health questionnaires in conjunction with non-elevated temperature for automated access control activation
  • Integration with visitor management systems to print self-expiring tags or wristbands
  • Facial recognition
